Sheila Bingham is a native of Fredericksburg. Reared on her family’s
ranch, overlooking Enchanted Rock, Sheila gained an appreciation of
nature’s beauty while attending both public and private art training.
Graduating in 1973 from Fredericksburg High School, she attended The
University of Texas in Austin. Majoring first in Art and then Math
Education, Sheila was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1976. She
taught at Westlake High School in Austin, retiring in 2006. Sheila has
returned to Fredericksburg and now pursues art in pencils and acrylics.
She won first place in the mixed media category of the “Faces and
Places of Gillespie County” competition in 2007. Sheila is also an
accomplished 5K competitor and enjoys gardening and collectibles.
