Melinda Branan has resided in Fredericksburg since 1993 when she and her husband retired from Houston. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a degree in painting (Fine Art). She later became an RN and practiced this profession for 22 years. In recent years Melinda has studied painting with Houston artists Stella Sullivan and Kate Frost Neal and most recently with Fredericksburg Art Guild member and teacher, Nancy Martin.
